C. Hoffman, born in Amarillo, Texas, found inspiration during childhood camping trips at Lake Meredith in Fritch, Texas, weaving stories about passersby. As an adult, a single question while camping sparked her novel, A Veil of Innocence. Fascinated by hidden motives, Hoffman’s keen observation shapes her writing, especially in her protagonist, Lauren, who navigates the world with a controlled facade. Living in Texas with her husband, children, and grandchild, she cherishes her role as “Nana” and uses writing to tell stories her way.
